Dance Recital Glory!

I know this is a long time coming but I have been having the worst time getting these pictures to load. Stinking slow Interenet connection! There's a great video I'm still trying desperately to load, you may have to check it out on Danielle and Craig's blog...

On May 24th the Flanders girls (and other little girls we love like Karina McLeod) had their annual dance recital. It is always a blast and this year was no exception!

Baby (Aka, Alyssa) had a wonderful time and was completely enthralled the entire time. Here you see her enjoying standing on Ally's lap and pulling her tutu up to her chest! Muma and Erin Z in the background look like they're at the championship football game or something but I think they were just waving to someone. Funny ladies.

Here are Danny and Craigo...getting excited for the show!

Pretty Nicole and her baby, Alyssa. So big and cute!

Here's our little mousey Melody. She stole the show, as did all the Flanders girls. Sorry some of the pictures are blurry, best I could do with bright stage lighting and no flash allowed!

Sassy Emily in her cute hat and gloves. I love that costume! She's just so gorgeous.

This one's blurry but it shows how pretty sweet Ella was in her pretty purple costume. She was a fantastic dancer and so entertaining to watch. She had 2 fun dances.

Cute Melody again, this time with her little rubber ducky. She did such a great job!

She's missing most of her head in this shot but this is Emy and Melo giving Ella TONS of flowers to celebrate her 5th year trophy. Hard to believe she's old enough!

Not sure why the pics are spaced so far apart...I'm still not so great with this site I guess!
Ha!

Making Maple Syrup

Well. As I haven't had the internet at home since the middle of April I have a bit to post. I can't even remember as much information as I would if I'd been able to post right away. Sorry 'bout that!

These shots are from April 5th, Saturday of General Conference. Jeffra Burke invited myself and a fun bunch of girls from her singles ward in Boston up to her house in Wolfeboro to learn how to make Syrup. We met there at 9am and had fun tapping trees and sampling the fresh syrup her mom had boiled and put over fresh snow. Just like I was a kid on that elementary schoool field trip again!

After our syrup adventure was done we headed to the chapel to watch the first session of conference. There were only a few others there, the Branch President and the missionaries I think (been too long to remember!). The spirit was so strong with us all during the solemn assembly. It was a wonderful experience. I just remember thinking as we went through the different quorems that were sustaining our new prophet and the leaders of the church how special it was that everyone in each different group was standing all together all over the world. By the time we got to the point where the entire church was standing together all I could imagine was people all over the world standing in chapels and in their homes and on the beach in a grass hut even in the tropical areas of the world. No matter the situation or place we all stood together and sustatined out leaders and our God. It was very moving for me and I'm sure none of you will be suprised to know that I had tears in my eyes. I always do!

Missing me...

Sorry I haven't posted for a month! Stuff has happened, I just don't have the internet at home so I can't do anything!
